Transforming Bratislava Brownfield into a Business Hub
Contera has commenced preparatory and construction work on the ambitious City Site project in Bratislava. Located on a former brownfield, this development aims to create a vibrant new area specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking modern, adaptable premises.
Project Scope and Vision
The development involves the removal of 20 older buildings to make way for four new, purpose-built structures. These buildings will be organised like a series of streets, complete with designated parking spaces, fostering an accessible and integrated business environment. The project will deliver a total of 19,190 sqm of new space, including a significant 2,500 sqm dedicated to retail, adding convenience and foot traffic to the site.
Flexible Spaces for Diverse Business Needs
City Site is being developed with flexibility at its core. Contera anticipates the main tenants will be local companies looking for space that can evolve with their operations. The design allows for a wide range of uses within the individual buildings, catering to:
Healthcare companies requiring laboratory facilities Educational institutions Research and development firms Technological workshops Warehouse facilities Showrooms and sales officesThis adaptability makes City Site an ideal location for businesses across various sectors needing customisable space to grow.
Sustainable Design Features
In line with modern development standards, all new buildings at City Site will incorporate sustainable features, including green roofs and facades, contributing to a healthier and more environmentally friendly workspace.
Current Status
Preparatory and initial construction work is already in progress. Existing older buildings are being systematically removed, while certain structures slated for preservation are undergoing necessary modifications.
