The building has an area of 21,000 m2 and has a BREEAM Excellent certification. The selling entities were Asseco Central Europe and KRON Real and the buyer was ERSTE Asset Management. The six-story building is located on the eastern edge of Ružinov, near the highway, airport and shopping area Avion Shopping Center and IKEA. The project was nominated for the CE ZA AR award in 2022. The project has 581 parking spaces and in 2024 a footbridge over Galvaniho Street for pedestrians and the disabled was opened. The footbridge connects the food court and terrace of Avion Shopping Park with the parking lot in front of GBC 5.
The GBC building has become the headquarters of several successful companies, such as Philip Morris International. After the official opening, Asseco Central Europe also moved to the new premises of GBC 5. “However, there is much more to the address change than just relocation,” the company warns. “In line with the motto: we shape our buildings and our buildings shape us, we also initiated a new mindset in the company culture with the move. The innovative smart building became an opportunity for us to reflect the internal changes that we have been experiencing for a long time into our working environment.”
CBRE Slovakia continues to provide exceptional value to our clients by securing institutional capital, with this sale being the only transaction with prime office space on the market in 2024. “We express our gratitude to our investment team at CBRE for their excellent efforts in completing this transaction,” reads the official CBRE announcement.
